Updating glibc redhat

I tried to run a game using Wine and got an error message saying that a dll had failed to load and that version 2.3.4 of glibc was not found. I have considered just installing Slackware 10.1 but I figure that if I do that I won't learn is because the kernel headers that 10.0 uses were compiled against glibc 2.3.2.......... would this just mean that it may be necessary to re-compile the kernel after an upgrade of glibc?I am using Slackware 10.0 and the version of glibc I have is 2.3.2. IF you upgrade the glibc libraries......may need to recompile the headers to match the newer version of glibc......... elyk: Yeah, i have read in some of the other forums that removing glibc doesn't work so well.Click Here to receive this Complete Guide absolutely free.I just wanted to ask some advice from people who have probably had a lot more experience with Linux than me. From what I have read I am hoping that it is possible to simply download the Slackware 10.1 package for glibc 2.3.4 and use upgrade-pkg to perform the upgrade. (Yes I'm talking from experience, just decided to reinstall everything) I've read somewhere that you can run upgradepkg on glibc, but I don't know if that will break anything else.thanks for clearing that up freakyg. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.__| __|_ ) _| ( / Amazon Linux AMI ___|\___|___| https://aws.amazon.com/amazon-linux-ami/2013.03-release-notes/ There are 12 security update(s) out of 25 total update(s) available Run "sudo yum update" to apply all updates. While I do realize that downgrading the NSS dependencies is not ideal it is, unfortunately, the only option we have to let the JDS start working again if it turns out that's the cause of why it stopped. Amanda Wulff Jamf Support (127/206): nss-3.27.1-13.el6.x86_64| 873 k B (128/206): nss-sysinit-3.27.1-13.el6.x86_64| 50 k B (129/206): nss-tools-3.27.1-13.el6.x86_64| 443 k B (130/206): nss-util-3.27.1-3.el6.x86_64| 68 k B Figured it out.

Having to wait to try to re-join the jds to the jss so I can confirm or deny.

If Mark Logic Server fails to start up on Windows with the error 'the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002)', then a dependency is missing from your environment and you need to download and install the following DLL for 64-bit versions of Windows:

Family ID=eb4ebe2d-33c0-4a47-9dd4-b9a6d7bd44da&Display Lang=en. Additionally, if you get an error on startup saying you need MSVCR100.dll, then install the Microsoft Visual C 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) ****Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (x64) is also supported in a VMWare ESXi 6.0 (installed on bare metal) environment.*****Mac OS X is supported for development only.

If you are upgrading a cluster, you must first upgrade the node in which the Security database forest is located before you upgrade other nodes in the cluster.
